1.1 Interpretation: Capitalized terms have the meanings assigned to them in this Policy.

1.2 Definitions:

  • Account: The unique profile created for You to access the Service.
  • Application: The mobile application titled “Monvo AI – Expense Tracker.”
  • Device: Any device used to access the Service (e.g., computer, smartphone, tablet).
  • Financial Data: Information You provide relating to Your transactions, budgets, income, expenses, and financial goals.
  • Usage Data: Data collected automatically through use of the Service.
  • User Content: Receipt photos, voice recordings, text descriptions of expenses.

2. Types of Data We Collect

2.1 Personal Data You Provide

Email address, Name/Nickname, Profile preferences (currency, language).

2.2 Financial & Transaction Data

Transaction details (Amount, Merchant, Date, Category), Budgets, Recurring subscriptions.

Important: We do not collect or store direct payment credentials (full card numbers or CVV).

2.3 User Content (AI Inputs)

Receipt Images (OCR analysis), Voice Data (audio recordings for logging), Text Descriptions.

3. How We Use Your Data

3.1 To Provide the Service: AI Processing (voice/receipts to records), Categorization, Analytics (charts), and Data Sync.

3.2 To Improve AI Accuracy: We may use anonymized User Content to train OCR and NLP models. We do not use Your personally identifiable financial data to train public models.

4. How We Share Personal Data

We do not sell your Personal Data. We only share data with:

  • AI Providers: Trusted partners like OpenAI or Antropic for processing (Zero Data Retention prioritize).
  • Infrastructure: Vendors like AWS, Vercel, or PostHog.
  • Legal Compliance: To respond to valid requests by public authorities.

5. Data Retention

  • Financial Data: Retained while your Account is active.
  • Receipt Images: Retained for your Gallery; You can delete them anytime.
  • Voice Recordings: Typically processed immediately and not permanently stored after transcription.

Access & ExportRequest a copy or download as CSV.
Correction & DeletionFix records or permanently delete Account/Data in App Settings.
